Your Role
As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in securing envelio’s infrastructure and systems, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, and fostering trust with our customers and partners. You will also act as the Deputy to the Information Security Manager, working closely with them to implement and maintain envelio’s overall security strategy. Together, you will ensure that envelio’s security practices remain robust and aligned with both current and emerging threats.
How You Make an Impact
  • you serve as the deputy to the Information Security Manager, stepping in as needed to lead security initiatives and represent the security team
  • you work closely with the Information Security Manager to develop and execute envelio’s security strategy, policies, and objectives
  • you identify and assess security risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • you lead or support efforts to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring swift resolution and prevention of recurrence
  • you configure and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications, adhering to IT security frameworks and industry standards
  • Lastly, you observe and evaluate technological trends in the IT security sector and are able to integrate them into our IT system landscape when needed
Your Profile

  • you have proven experience in IT security engineering, ideally in a SaaS or energy-related industry.
  • you have experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
  • you are familiar with network security, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection and have a strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, authentication mechanisms, and threat modeling.
  • you have hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
  • you have strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • you have an ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in English
    • German is a plus

Deine Rolle
Als IT Security Engineer spielst du eine zentrale Rolle beim Schutz der Infrastruktur und der Systeme von envelio, um den Schutz sensibler Daten zu gewährleisten und das Vertrauen unserer Kunden und Partner zu fördern. Als Stellvertreter des Information Security Managers arbeitest du eng mit ihm zusammen, um die gesamte Sicherheitsstrategie von envelio zu implementieren und aufrecht zu erhalten. Gemeinsam stellt ihr sicher, dass die Sicherheitspraktiken von envelio robust bleiben und sowohl auf aktuelle als auch auf neue Bedrohungen abgestimmt sind.
Wie du etwas bewirkst
  • Du fungierst als Stellvertreter des Information Security Managers und springst bei Bedarf ein, um Sicherheitsinitiativen zu leiten und das Sicherheitsteam zu repräsentieren
  • Du arbeitest eng mit dem Information Security Manager zusammen, um die Sicherheitsstrategie, -richtlinien und -ziele von envelio zu entwickeln und umzusetzen
  • Du identifizierst und bewertest Sicherheitsrisiken und implementierst proaktive Maßnahmen, um Schwachstellen zu entschärfen
  • Du leitest oder unterstützt Bemühungen, Sicherheitsvorfälle zu erkennen, zu analysieren und darauf zu reagieren, um eine schnelle Lösung und die Vermeidung von Wiederholungen zu gewährleisten
  • Du konfigurierst und wartest sichere Systeme, Netzwerke und Anwendungen und hältst dich dabei an IT-Sicherheitsframeworks und Branchenstandards
  • Außerdem beobachtest du technologische Trends im Bereich der IT-Sicherheit und bist in der Lage, diese bei Bedarf in unsere IT-Systemlandschaft zu integrieren
Dein Profil
Perfektion ist ein Mythos! Viel mehr interessiert uns der Mensch hinter dem Bildschirm. Diese Kriterien sind also eher als Orientierungshilfe für dich gedacht. Wir sind gespannt, wie deine individuellen Fähigkeiten zu uns passen.
  • Du hast nachweislich Erfahrung in der IT-Sicherheitstechnik, idealerweise in einer SaaS- oder energiebezogenen Branche
  • Du hast Erfahrung mit Sicherheitstools (z. B. SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability-Scanner)
  • Du bist vertraut mit Netzwerksicherheit, Firewalls, VPNs, Endpoint-Security und hast ein gutes Verständnis für Sicherheitsprotokolle, Verschlüsselung, Authentifizierungsmechanismen und Threat Modeling
  • Du hast praktische Erfahrung mit Compliance-Frameworks wie ISO 27001 oder NIST
