Your Role
The Head of European Expansion is a senior leadership role within the Sales organization at envelio. The position is dedicated to driving our market entry and growth across European countries, with a focus on building strong local presence and establishing scalable sales and business development structures. By shaping and executing market entry strategies, the role plays a pivotal part in extending envelio’s impact in the European energy sector.
The Head of EU Expansion is responsible for defining and implementing go-to-market strategies, recruiting and leading Business Development Managers across multiple countries, and ensuring successful customer acquisition and expansion in each market. Combining strategic foresight with hands-on execution, this role bridges the gap between local business development and envelio’s global growth objectives.
Your Profile

- You hold a degree in electrical engineering, business administration with a specialisation in technology management, or a comparable field of study
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, combining strategic foresight with hands-on execution to build new markets and structures from the ground up
- You demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, proactively addressing challenges and driving initiatives forward beyond formal responsibility
- You apply an analytical and data-driven approach, leveraging market insights and KPIs to prioritize opportunities, guide decisions, and refine go-to-market strategies
- You bring several years of experience in business development, market entry strategy, or technical consulting in the energy sector, ideally across multiple European markets
- You possess strong technical competence, with the ability to develop in-depth knowledge of market requirements, envelio's value proposition and unique selling points
- You have excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, ideally with a track record in establishing partnerships
- You maintain a collaborative mindset, fostering close alignment with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure successful market entry and scaling
- You demonstrate proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and leading international teams
- You are fluent in English. Proficiency in other EU languages is a strong plus
